Terms of use
The deal between you and us. Short, because most of it is obvious and the parts that aren't deserve to be readable.
What this is
You upload a recording of a football match. We cut the goals out of it and give you back a reel you can watch and share, and players can tag the goals that were theirs. Using the site means accepting what's on this page.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You need to be 16 or over. Everything done through your account is treated as done by you.
Uploading footage — the part that matters
When you upload a match, you are telling us three things, and we rely on all three:
One: the recording is yours to upload, or you have permission from whoever it belongs to.
Two: the people in it know they were filmed and that the goals may end up on a link that can be shared. For a regular fixture, telling the group once is enough. For a one-off, tell them on the day.
Three: if anyone in the footage is under 18, you have the agreement of a parent or guardian. We take this one seriously and will remove footage rather than argue about it.
You keep ownership of your footage throughout. You give us permission to store it, cut it, show the reel to the people you share it with, and use it to build our own software for finding goals and other moments — nothing more. We don't licence it on, and we don't use it to advertise without asking you first.
What we do with it
We process the recording, cut the goals, and for now keep the full recording while we build that software; ask us and we'll delete it within a few days. The reel itself has no end date: the link keeps working and the goals stay up until you or the organiser ask us to take them down. The privacy page sets out the detail.
We aim to have goals back to you within 12 hours of a match being ready to work on. That's a target we hold ourselves to, not a guarantee — a long recording, a bad upload or a quiet weekend can push it out.
Sharing reels
A reel link works for anyone who has it. When you send one on, you are making that decision for everyone in the footage, so use the judgement you'd use posting it anywhere else.
Tagging goals
Tag goals that were actually yours. Where two people claim the same one, the organiser decides, and their decision stands. Persistently claiming other people's goals is a good way to lose your account.
Things not to do
Don't upload anything you don't have the right to, anything filmed somewhere people expect privacy, or anything unlawful. Don't try to reach parts of the service that aren't yours, and don't use it to harass anyone.
Paying and being paid
Where a game is charged for, the price is agreed before the match is posted and is based on the length of the recording. Payment terms are set out separately when an account is set up — nothing on this page changes them.
When things go wrong
We try hard to keep the service up and your footage safe, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable and we can't promise a recording will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be upset to lose — the original file on the camera or phone is usually enough.
If we get something badly wrong and it costs you money, our liability is limited to what you paid us for the game in question. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says can't be limited.
Ending it
Close your account whenever you like, by emailing us. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless there's a good reason not to.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute about them.
